Welcome to join our lunchtime webinar on December 4th which will focus entirely on caregivers.
We welcome our speaker, Karin Skogmark, family counselor and social scientist with special expertise in elderly education.
Karin will take us through the reality that relatives face when illness and challenges linked to illness affect us. There are often many questions, great needs, a strong desire to do what one can and a frequent feeling of inadequacy or resignation. Family members therefore need support, both from themselves and from the healthcare system, to be able to deal with the situation as well as possible - both for the patient and for themselves. Family members are also an invaluable part of patient-centered care. They are often the ones who know the patient best, and who know how the patient feels most secure.
Karin will share her experiences after more than ten years of meeting relatives and at the same time working on developing support for relatives in municipal activities.
Karin will help us answer these questions:
✅ How can you best help family members?
✅ How to create the best possible conditions for support structurally?
✅ What help is available for relatives and how to access it? Whose responsibility is it?
You won't want to miss this!
