This webinar will focus on Lewy body dementia, how to recognize early signs, and how it differs from other, often similar diagnoses such as Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease.
The people who will tell us more about this are Marie Ekelund and Lena Kardefelt.
Marie and Lena are two of the three founders of the Swedish Lewy Body Association.
Marie’s husband was diagnosed with Lewy body dementia in 2018 and passed away in 2024. Marie is a nurse by training and has experience with all stages of the disease. She currently serves as the association’s chairperson.
Lena's husband was diagnosed in 2020 and passed away in March 2026. Lena cared for him at home until the last few months of his life, when he was living in a nursing home.
